Lorenz Leander Haas's production of "faust" questions the topicality of the material and its relevance in describing our present. It seeks parallels with contemporary Faustian figures and explores the paths a contemporary Faust might take. Is a startup garage comparable to the "narrow Gothic room" in which Faust's story begins, and doesn't the dam construction site perhaps resemble the headquarters of a gigantic tech corporation in Silicon Valley? Thus, we travel from heaven through the world to hell. Who is Faust? And above all, how do we behave toward him?
Meredith Oak's adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy translates The Tempest into a modern, down-to-earth, yet equally rich language. Thomas Adès's opera, whose modern musical language never completely abandons the foundations of traditional harmony, multiplies the play on power and domination with a large orchestra, lush percussion, chorus, and solo parts that push the boundaries of human possibility. Ariel's extremely high soprano coloratura stands out, while the sensual love between Miranda and Ferdinand and Prospero's brutal power struggle unfold with intense emotions
David Paquet's text combines profound world-weariness and unabashed humor to create an incomparable blend. "The Weight of Ants" is an angry yet life-affirming teen comedy that roars loudly and wittily against the disinterest and callousness of the adult world.
Richard Strauss’ opera INTERMEZZO stirred controversy by portraying his own marital life onstage, challenging the boundary between public and private. Despite its departure from mythical themes, the opera reflects contemporary trends while maintaining Strauss’ classical style. It revolves around mistaken identities, echoing a real-life incident, to paint a complex portrait of a woman balancing her aspirations with her role as a supportive wife.

Narative
My involvement in narrative production has manifested in various roles, encompassing writing, directing, camera work, and even acting. I am drawn to the dynamic and passion-driven essence of storytelling and filmmaking. This project marks my debut short film, revolving around a piñata invited to her first college party. As one might anticipate, piñatas aren't the life of the party. In creating this film, I aimed to delve into themes of tokenism and fetishization while embracing the campiness inherent in the concept.
Documentary
Documentary work is among the most fulfilling to create. Building connections with subjects, discovering ways to encourage them to open up, and relishing in the process of telling their stories is consistently exhilarating. I directed a short documentary centered around a family residing on my university campus. My objective was to craft a sincere portrayal of their lives, striving to convey their authenticity and bring it to life on the screen.

Music Video
My most recent venture in music video production unfolded during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Collaborating with a local choir, we recorded their concert since live performances were not feasible. Managing multiple video shoots, I gained extensive insights into the realms of editing and music production. Given the time-sensitive nature of these projects, each shoot was a meticulous process. For indoor shoots, I individually filmed each singer on stage, seamlessly compositing over 10 videos to create a harmonious ensemble. The entire filming, including any B-roll, had to be completed within a tight two-hour window. It was a race against time and a taxing workload for my computer, but I take pride in the achieved results.
Wedding
Each wedding I've had the opportunity to be a part of has left an indelible mark on me, creating enduring memories in the most delightful ways. There's a unique and profound privilege in the role of crafting a video that will be a cherished keepsake for a couple throughout their journey together. It's not merely about capturing moments; it's about distilling the essence of love, commitment, and joy into a visual narrative that will stand the test of time. Being entrusted with the responsibility to encapsulate the magic of such a significant day is a responsibility I hold dear, and it's a privilege to contribute to the tapestry of their lifelong memories.

Theater Work
Theater Promotions
Collaborating with theaters has been an enriching journey, offering a wealth of diversity and valuable experiences. My involvement extends from crafting trailers for upcoming shows to curating interviews with actors and crew, playing a pivotal role in promotional efforts. Additionally, I've contributed to the preservation of theatrical works by engaging in archival projects for theaters. These varied experiences have not only honed my skills but also deepened my appreciation of the performing arts.
Social Media
Managing social media pages for groups I'm passionate about has been an exciting avenue to focus on style and branding. Specifically, in my role handling the social media presence for Laurel South, the emphasis was on cultivating a unique sense of freedom and escape. The videos crafted for Laurel South aimed to convey the idea that working for a summer camp is akin to living the adventurous lives of travel vloggers, but with the added layer of responsibility in caring for children and infusing each moment with joy and excitement.
